Technology Services Computer Labs

In support of the Law School’s mission, the Center for Legal Information provides computer and information resources to the Law School community.

Student computers in the Law School are located on all three floors of the Center for Legal Information. There are a total of 70 computers and 14 network printers installed in four locations within the Center. All of the computers in the Center have the Windows XP Operating System, Microsoft Office Suite 2003, Corel WordPerfect 12, and CALI Lessons installed.

On the 2nd floor (pictured below), there are two carousels, each equipped with five 2.4 GHz Pentium IV computers. These computers are equipped with CD-Writers and 250 MB Iomega internal zip drives. In addition, two Hewlett-Packard high-speed laser printers are available for students.

Located on the 1st floor (pictured above) of the library, there is one carousel with five 2.4 GHz Pentium IV computers, all equipped with CD-Writers and 250 MB Iomega internal zip drives. There is also one Hewlett-Packard high-speed laser printer.
 

The 1st floor also has a large computer lab (pictured to the right) equipped with 25 Dell Optiplex 3.2 GHz Pentium IV computers equipped with CD-Writers and 100MB Iomega zip drives. In addition, six high-speed Hewlett-Packard laser printers are available in the PC Lab. In addition to the standard software, Adobe Acrobat 7.0 is also installed on all of these computers.

Law students are permitted to use these computers when the lab is not reserved for classroom training. Training hours are posted on the doors of the PC Lab.

On the Ground floor of the Center (pictured to the left), there are 15 Dell Optiplex, 2.0 GHz, Pentium IV computers and five brand-new Optiplex 2.4 GHz, Pentium IV computers equipped with CD-Writers.

There are also five Hewlett-Packard laser printers located on the ground floor.

On the ground floor of the Center (pictured on the right), there is the Broughton Lab equipped with 16 Dell Optiplex, 1.7GHz, Pentium IV computers, used only for teaching purposes. Lexis and Westlaw use this lab to teach legal research classes to smaller groups of students. Regular Lexis and Westlaw training sessions are conducted in the PC Lab on the 1st floor of the Center.

Training hours are posted on the door of the Lab.

This Lab is closed for public use.
